Recognising Excellence — CPD Accreditation for PSG Training
We’re proud to share that three of Positive Support Group’s specialist training programmes have now been awarded Continued Professional Development (CPD) accreditation – a recognition of the high-quality, evidence-based learning they deliver to professionals across the sector.
PBS Essentials
An introductory course for client-facing staff who are new to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). The training covers the need for person-centred and compassionate support for people with learning disabilities, explores the functions of behaviour, and outlines the essential components of PBS plans. With no prerequisites required, PBS Essentials offers a solid foundation for anyone beginning their journey in PBS practice.
PBS Applied Practices
This three-day training series is designed to upskill PBS Leads, Managers, and frontline staff with foundational PBS knowledge to design and implement person-centred support plans. Upon successful completion of the course portfolio, participants are equipped to act as confident and capable PBS Champions within their services.
Suicide Prevention
Positive Support Group Limited’s Suicide Prevention (SP) Training equips professionals working with autistic individuals who may be at risk of suicide-related behaviours. It addresses the global prevalence of suicide within the autistic community and advocates a holistic prevention approach grounded in PBS principles. Topics include identifying predictive factors, conducting risk assessments, and creating collaborative plans to mitigate risks and promote reasons for living. The course also offers guidance on enhancing client interactions and supporting staff well-being in the face of complex behavioural challenges.
CPD accreditation confirms that each of these programmes meets the standards for high-quality, structured professional learning. For participants, it means confidence that the training is recognised for its relevance, rigour, and practical application – and for us, it’s a marker of our commitment to raising the standard of practice across the sector.
